Mildred L. Bramer, 86, of Amsterdam, New York passed away October 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy in Guilderland. She was born on August 10, 1939 in Perth, New York to the late John and Hazel (Kinnin) Hemstreet.

In her spare time, Mildred loved gardening and bird watching. She spent her entire nursing career, over 30 years, working in the maternity unit of St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She was a proud and devoted nurse, but when it came down to it, family always came first. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Mildred is survived by her children Cynthia Ray, Christine Salinas (Ramon), Amy Willbrant (Alan) and Thomas R. Scott (Linda); grandchildren John Ray (Sarah), Jessica Ray, Beth-Anne Sansig, Jonathan Scott (Kate), Graham Willbrant, and Leah Willbrant; great-grandchildren Quentin, Ella-Sophia, Deegan, and Caliana; sister Shirley Davenpeck; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Bramer who passed in 2004; her twin brother Harold Hemstreet; sisters Dorothy Miller and Norma Belden, and grandson Gary Paul Kietzmann, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger and Stewart funeral home, 171 Guy Park Avenue Amsterdam, NY. A service will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in Perth Cemetery, Amsterdam NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mildred's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes.
