Mildred Christine Dyer, age 92, passed into the arms of Jesus on September 25, 2025.
Mildred was born in Gillsville, Georgia, and spent most of her life in Marietta, Georgia, later moving to Canton.
She worked as an Executive Secretary at Lucent Technologies for 22 years and retired in 1995.
She was an active member of Campground United Methodist Church in Marietta for over 40 years. Upon moving to Canton, she joined Canton First Methodist Church.
She loved gardening, painting, sewing, and quilting. She made beautiful quilts for each of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Dyer; her parents, C. Nealie and Lonie Glenn; and her brothers, Ralph Glenn and Ray Glenn.
Survivors include her children, Janice (Terry) Lloyd and Glenn (Kathy) Dyer, grandchildren Kristin Towns, Dana Martin, Lauren (Scott) McKenzie, James (Melissa) Dyer and Jeremy (Tiffany) Dyer, great grandchildren Madison (Colt) Sosebee, Micah (Mary) Towns, Isaac Martin, Morgan, Olivia, and Scott Clark McKenzie, Brayton, Brinlyn and Elijah Dyer, great-great grandchild Emilia Towns and another on the way, sister Sylvia Yarbrough and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at South Canton Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marietta Campground Perpetual Care Cemetery at 2325 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30062.
