Mildred Epperly Obituary

Published by Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Jul. 10, 2011.

Mildred Keys Epperly Mildred Keys Epperly (age 92) passed away early Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011, in Litchfield Park, AZ. A creative and charismatic personality, "Milly" always gave her best to make things better for those around her whether through her work as a real estate agent and portrait photographer or through her community service and church. Track, softball and basketball player as a young girl, a Boy Scout den leader and baseball manager as a young mother, a Sunday school teacher, and member of a performing dance band in her golden years - she led with a cheerful smile in all that she did. Mildred was also a member of the Thomas Lee Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Her greatest passion and deepest joy was her family. Born July 25, 1918 in Prince William County, daughter of William L. and Annie Elizabeth Keys, she was one of eleven siblings. She was the proud mother of John Epperly of Fairfax, James Epperly of Avondale, AZ, and Joy Rangel of Clifton and blessed to have 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Edith Eldred Boyd of Rockville, MD. Both husbands, Moyer Epperly and Harvey Watson, predeceased her.

A memorial service will be held at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manassas on Wednesday, July 13 at 11 am followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Manassas, VA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of Michael Post. Please sign the guestbook at www.bakerpostfh.com.
