Mildred T. "Millie" Evans

Mildred T. Evans (nee Trunk), age 90, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 25, 2025.

Millie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert K Evans and her granddaughter, Kimberley Ann.

Born to Harry and Mildred Trunk in Philadelphia, Millie enjoyed summers and weekends in Wildwood and Ocean City, NJ with her family and family friends. She and Bob always looked forward to their Saturday nights with Brenda and Jack at the bowling alley, raising a ruckus on the allies.

After marrying they raised their daughter and son in the Academy Gardens section of Northeast Philadelphia. Millie enjoyed her years in the Northeast hanging out in the backyard watching the kids play and talking to her neighbors on the front steps. Millie and Bob spent over 50 years living in the Northeast before they spent their last years with their family in Ivyland. Together, they created a life filled with cherished moments.

After retiring from the Naval Aviation Supply Depot, where she worked for over 25 years, Millie found enjoyment in spending many an afternoon at the local Senior Center sharing stories and Line dancing. She loved spending time with her kids, especially watching her Phillies and Flyers and an occasional old Western show with her son Bob, spending Monday and Tuesdays sharing a beer during the Phillies and Flyers games with her grandson Kenny and her granddaughter Megan, as well as Sunday visits from her granddaughter Peggy, and her granddaughter Joann and her family.

Millie is survived by her children: Kathy Schafer (Ken), Bob Evans (Peg); 6 grandchildren: Kenny (Gisela), Peggy (Jim), Megan (James), Bobby (Melissa), Michael, Joann (Anthony) and 13 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael Jr, Erik, Connor, Adam, Kenzie, Emma, Jimmy, Andy, Joey, Mary, Natalie, and Victoria.

Mildred's family will receive friends and family on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
