Mildred "Millie" Lillian May Field, age 97, of Trinity passed away peacefully August 16, 2025 surrounded by her family at home. She was born May 11, 1928 in Montreal Canada the daughter of the late Walter May and Martha Stormont May. Also preceding her in death are her beloved husband, Harrison "Harry" Field whom she married in 1969. Her beloved canine companion, Amy, the poodle joined her in Heaven following her passing.

Born in Canada, she embraced life's changes with grace, moving to the United States in 1956 to build a new life in California, and later, New Bern, North Carolina in 1983. There, she created a welcoming home that reflected her passion for interior design and a home she took great pride in. After the passing of her beloved husband, Millie moved, this time to be closer to her cherished daughter, Diane. Millie enjoyed house work, found joy in the everyday tasks, she would play in the bubbles while doing dishes or sing while vacuuming. she took immense pride in making her surroundings beautiful and inviting. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember her as someone who was incredibly easy to talk to, always ready with a listening ear and a kind word. Millie embodied the essence of a loving wife, mother, and grandparent, leaving behind a legacy.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Diane Bowman; granddaughter, Cynthia Simpson; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private service to celebrate her life at a later date.
