Mildred Head Obituary
Mildred Aileen Head, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Born on April 19, 1931, to the late Albert Boyd and Elsie Kelly Boyd, Mildred was known for her sweet spirit, loving heart, and caring nature. She never met a stranger and found joy in meeting new people wherever she went.
A wonderful cook and a talented singer, Mildred also loved to dance and share music with those around her. She brought warmth, laughter, and a special light into the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gardner Head, and her parents.
Mildred is survived by her loving son, Richard Green; her cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Gracie Green; and her dear nieces, Dana Atwood and Shirley Cube.
Pallbearers will be John Bradley, David Bradley, Tommy Mayberry, Cameron Rupert, Jordan Rupert, and Nate Ramierez.
A service to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mildred will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
