Mildred Deckard Henderson was born January 27, 1957 to the late Mr. Emmanuel & Mrs. Rosie Lee Deckard. She graduated from Tatum High School in 1975.

Mildred was a hard worker. She was a very faithful and loving member of N.S.C.H.O.P. Church. She was saved and Holy Spirit filled after confessing Jesus Christ as her Savior. Mildred was a faithful choir member, kitchen committee member, and Supt of Sunday school. She was always the first at the church, making sure that everything was clean, in place and that service was to start on time. On every 4th Sunday, Mildred always had a special gift for someone but you have to be at church to get it. Mildred was a member of the nursing home ministry, hospital ministry and going into the homes of the sick and shut in by praying, encouraging them and leaving them with a smile and a gift.

Mildred loved to testify and so for over 20 years she would always testify and thank God in advance for blessing N.S.C.H.O.P. with a new church paid in full for God's glory and God's honor. In 2023, God honored Mildred's testimony and blessed her to see the new church paid in full for God's glory and honor. Thank you Jesus, Mildred's testimony came to pass.

Mildred is preceded in death by her sister: Mary Etta Deckard Reese; niece: Hollie Reese; brothers: J.B. Deckard and Elvis Deckard; brother-in-law: Ronald Moore; nephew, Curtis Deckard; great nephew: Joshua A.L. Overstreet; great-great nephew: III Dior Overstreet.
