Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Oden Hewitt, 93, of Lewistown, passed away from this life on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Doey Hospice House, Hagerstown surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond Oden (1983) and Sherman Hewitt (1999).

Born August 18, 1931 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Clarence B. and Mamie Smith.

Mildred retired from Citizens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She really enjoyed sitting on her front porch, family visits, Long John Silvers with her daughter, Debbie, and all kinds of different flowers.

She is survived by her daughters: Debra Oden (Sandra Kidwell) and Penny Rinehart, son: Raymond Oden (Trina), Grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Kathy, Wendy, Gary, Allen and Kimberly, Great-Grandchildren: Leland, Ashley, Curtis, Shyann, Destiny and Taylor and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren, favorite nieces: Pam (Wayne) and Melissa (David) and Sister: Shirley.

In addition to her late husbands, she was preceded in death by her Best friend/ Sister-in-law: Mary Smith, brothers: Johnny, Charles, Carl, Raymond and Marion, Sisters: Margaret and Mary Ellen, Grandson: Hank Rinehart and Son-in-law: Francis Rinehart.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, of Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will begin at 11am with Ernie Giancola officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown.
