Funeral Services for Mildred Moseley Blount Johnson, 93, of Butler will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. from the First Baptist Church of Butler with Rev. Jason Moye officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mildred Johnson peacefully departed from this life at her home, surrounded by her beloved family, on Monday, September 22, 2025. Born on September 12, 1932, in St. Stephens, Alabama, she was the daughter of Lee Moseley and Frances Atchinson Moseley. Throughout her career, she contributed her talents to the family business, Blount and Son Printer Shop, as well as Butler Flower Shop, where she held various roles until her retirement. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Butler, she attended services for many years, embodying a woman of faith who cherished her relationship with Jesus. Mildred had a passion for flowers, often tending to her beloved garden. Above all, her love for her family shone brightly; she was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her presence will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her son, Durwood Blount II (Beverly) of Butler; son, Steve Blount (Susan) of Satsuma; daughter, Michelle Mosley (Bruce) of Toxey; sisters, Jean Flint of Leroy, Joyce Tolbert of Mobile, Carrie Lee of Decatur, and Nettie Disalvo of Mobile; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Don Blount, Sr.; husband, Vernon Q. Johnson; parents, Lee Moseley and Frances Atchinson Moseley; son, Pierre Blount; brothers, Marvin Moseley, R.J. Moseley, and Lee Frank Moseley; and sisters, Pearl Whitacker and Shirley Mathers.

Pallbearers include Bruce Mosley, Jr., Brandon Mosley, Jordan Blount, Jeremy Blount, Jeremy Ford Blount, Matthew Lee Blount, Jerry Johnson, and Jackson Pate.
