Mildred "Millie" M Lipani
Greece, NY: Saturday, March 30, 2024, left this life at the age of 98.
Millie was born on December 1,1925, in Rochester NY, where she resided her entire life.
Millie was a ray of sunshine, always ready with a joke, a smile or a word of encouragement for everyone she met. She was a giving, often selfless, person who was very supportive of others. Millie was resolutely devoted to her family, which she demonstrated repeatedly throughout her life. In particular, she was unwaveringly dedicated to her mother, who she lovingly cared for throughout her life until her mother's demise at the age of 98. Millie will be truly missed by all those who have had the pleasure of interacting with her through the years.
Millie was an astute, successful businesswoman and was the founder of the Lipani Insurance Agency, which she ran for many years until her retirement. Mildred was also a long time volunteer & generous benefactor of St Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Millie was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Lipani and father, Michael Lipani, her brothers, Dr. Charles Lipani (wife Tess) and Richard Lipani (wife Frances) and her sisters, Gloria Dunn (husband Bill ) and Jean Monteleone (husband Vincent James).
Millie is survived by thirteen loving nieces & nephews, as well as many grand & great-grand nieces & nephews.
Millie's family would like to thank and praise the staff & volunteers at St Ann's Home's Special Care Unit as well as the Rochester General Hospital's Hospice Team for their dedicated & compassionate care. The wonderful supportive care that Millie received was truly exceptional and is greatly appreciated.
Friends may call Tuesday (April 2nd) 10-11 AM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
