Judith Connorton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels - Webster Chapel on Dec. 6, 2025.
Judith A. Connorton, of Webster, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 3, 2025. A devoted mother, cherished friend, and guiding light to all who knew her, Judith lived a life rooted in kindness, service, and quiet strength.
Judith now joins in heaven the loved ones who passed before her; husband, Arthur J. Connorton; parents, Thomas and Angela Thompson; brother, Thomas Thompson (Dorothy); sister, Mary Ann Lekanides; many aunts, uncles, niece, nephew and cousins. Judith leaves her daughters, Cynthia Gallagher (Robert Howard); Sherie Connorton, Tracy West (Michael); grandsons; Patrick and Thomas Gallagher (Meagan Bartley), their father, Edward Gallagher (Krishna Persaud), granddaughters; Teagan and Delaney West; and several dear cousins.
Judith's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother whose wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support created the foundation on which her children built their lives. She was the heart of her home, known for her comforting presence, gentle humor, and ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued.
Born with a natural gift for nurturing others, Judith dedicated many years to her work as a teacher at Greece Central Schools, where she inspired students with patience, creativity, and genuine care. Beyond the classroom, she was a proud and active leader in the scouting community, helping shape the character and confidence of countless young people. Her commitment to service extended to the sidelines as well, supporting her daughters' sporting events, concerts and many extracurricular events-Judith was the beloved wife of a longtime wrestling coach, Art "the Bear" Connorton, and embraced her role as a supportive "coach's wife," encouraging athletes and families alike.
Judith will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the steady, thoughtful way she touched the lives of everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through the countless people she taught, guided, supported, and loved.
Words cannot express the DEEPEST gratitude her family has for all of Judith's medical support and caregivers throughout the last several years, or the unwavering care of the SICU team at RGH. They did the heavy lifting where we couldn't.
She is deeply missed and forever cherished.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 19th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Funeral Chapel, (1031 Ridge Rd., Webster). Judy's Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 20th at 11:00am at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church, (445 Kings Hwy S. Rochester, NY 14617. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Rick Harris Jr.

To Judy's family and friends: Please accept my condolences. I met Judy thru her husband Art, the wrestling coach and wit par excellence. She was always friendly and helpful, a perfect foil for her husband, and nurturing to those kids who crossed her path. I trust she is in heaven with Art, receiving her just rewards for a life well lived.
