Mildred "Denise" Pickering

Mildred "Denise" Pickering, age 63 of Chuckey, passed away Thursday, March 12th at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was a long time employee of PlusMark. She loved gardening as long as her health permitted. She loved her family very much. Denise also enjoyed sitting on her porch swing with her chicken "Henny Penny."

She is survived by her daughter Ashley Pickering, son Rocky Pickering and girlfriend Kaitlyn Edwards, grandchildren Keaton Pickering-Smith, Aiden Guerassio, Alex Guerassio, Emma Guerassio, her siblings Naomi (Harley) Greene, Becky (Bobby) Young, Lois Jones, and Joe (Betty) Jennings, her aunts Jean Rice and Dean Mitchell, a very special friend Phyllis Anderson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Luke and Margaret Jennings, grandson Jacob Pickering-Guerassio, brothers Eddie Jennings and David Jennings, half sisters Juanita Seaton, Shelby Mathes, Louise Crum and Pauline Holt, half brother Leland "Bud" Jennings, several aunts and uncles, and special friend Nadine Haire.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 16th from 4-6 at Jeffers Funeral Service of Afton with the funeral to follow at 6. The Graveside will be held Tuesday, March 17th at Union Chapel Cemetery at 11 am with Rev. Harley Greene Officiating.

Pallbearers are Paul, Adam, and Sam Jennings, Emory Jennings, Aiden Guerassio, and Brad Jones.
