Mildred Steadman Showers

Mildred Steadman Showers, 82, 0f Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born in Columbus, Georgia, on June 29, 1943, to the late Willie and Martha Bailey Steadman. She loved Jesus, and she loved to read. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victory Showers, brothers, Earl Steadman, Authur Lee Steadman, Claude Steadman, and William Steadman; and sisters, Frances Thursby, Evelyn Brantley, Nadine Cox, and Catherine Fletcher.

She is survived by daughter, Teresa (Gene) Fulps; son, Terry Lee Showers; grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Showers and Ashley (Jeff) Hawes; sister, Josephine Bacon; great-grandchildren, Addie and Isaiah Showers; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland located at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland from 2:00PM until 4:00PM with a brief service beginning at 4:00PM.
