Mildred Tajc

Mildred Tajc, age 83, passed away on January 27, 2026 in WVU Uniontown Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Georges Township on December 25, 1942 daughter of the late Stephen Hlatky and Mildred Popovich Hlatky. She was also predeceased by her husband, Bernard Tajc.

Mildred graduated from Fairchance Georges . She was employed as a waitress and bartender. She was also a member of St. Mary Nativity Church in Uniontown.

Left to cherish Mildred's memory are her son, Andrew Tajc (Renee); daughters, Patricia Kollar (Mark) and Susann Faverio (George) ; brother, Richard Hlatky (Carrie); sisters, Caroline Kelley (Larry), Katherine Gordon and Karen Migyanko (Dave). She is also survived by grandchildren – Jimmy Shaffer, Tanya Shaffer (Bill), Melissa Vaughn (Jason), Ryan Ferens (Jillian), Nicholas Faverio (Brittany), Sarah Perugini (Perry) , and Saedie Tajc. Several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Mary Nativity Church in Uniontown, PA. She will be entombed at Mt. Saint Macrina Cemetery.
