Mildred Methvin Trotti, lovingly known as "Pitty," passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family. Born in St. Francisville, Louisiana, on October 28, 1932, Mildred was a dedicated wife to the late John R. Trotti, Jr., a nurturing mother, and a cherished grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Mildred's devotion to her family and community shone through in all aspects of her life. She was a beacon of love and support, always ready to lend a helping hand to all in need. Her days were filled with preparing family meals, tending to the farm, and offering her unwavering attention to her three sons, ensuring they grew into compassionate individuals.
An avid antique enthusiast, Mildred spent over 25 years as a member of the Zachary Historical Society, where she sourced and shared unique antiques with the community. Her antique shop was a treasure trove that attracted buyers from far and wide, drawn to the one-of-a-kind pieces she offered.
In her leisure time, Mildred found solace in gardening, cultivating her yard with an array of beautiful flowers that mirrored her vibrant spirit. She adored reading the daily newspaper cover to cover, engaging in lively discussions with loved ones about current events, and effortlessly completing crossword puzzles with precision and speed.
Mildred's warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come. She brought joy and light into the world, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Simon and Eunice Methvin; sister Laura Samson; and grandson Jared.
She is survived by her sons Larry Trotti (Sharon), Bryan Trotti (Robin Diana); and Barry Trotti (Kim); grandchildren Jeremy, Josh and Carrie, Ashley and Mike, Dustin and Lauren, Nick and Candace, Kevin, Cody, Kaylee and Michael, Marissa and Ryan; great-grandchildren Collin, Chelsea, Beaux, Hudson, Abi, Abby, Hunter, Austin, Kylie, Larson, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Adleigh; nieces and nephew Gloria, Lynne, Roz, and Rodney, and their children.

The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Pitty to join them as we commemorate her life. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 9:00 am until funeral services at 10:00 am, with Graveside ceremonies to follow.
