Mildred VanHeel Obituary
Millie was born on June 19, 1923 to Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Muyres) Schiller. She grew up in Upsala, MN. Millie married Raymond VanHeel and opened Ray's Shoe Repair which she ran for many years. They had three children Sandy, Tim, and Deb. Millie will be remembered for her love of cards, helping with make-it gifts, and praying to St. Anthony for lost items. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother, who will be truly missed.
Preceded in joining the Lord: husband, Raymond, daughter Sandra Reding, sisters Doris French and Virgina Harren.
Survived by: children Timothy, Debra (Monnens, Dan), son-in-law Thomas Reding; grandchildren: Mark (Connie) and Dawn (Steve) Reding; Luke (Ashley) and Olivia Krey; 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Humane Society.
A service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, WSP on Friday, September 19th with the memorial at 10:00AM, mass at 11:00. Millie's final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

Deb, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing and then to realize that your sister passed shortly before Christmas. Your mother was such a special person. She always made me feel so welcome. I will keep your family in my prayers. Carol (Kaess) McNamara-Miller

Dear Reding and VanHeel families. I just found out today that Sandy passed away before Christmas as I was looking for Millie's notice. I am so sorry for your losses. This is heartbreaking to lose two angels in such a short time. Both Sandy and Millie were awesome - I knew them both since meeting Debra in Kindergarten at St. Joes (love you Debra Louise) -- and drove them crazy as a kid. I babysat Mark and Dawn who were absolutely adorable. Your family was very important to me - Debbies/Millie's house was like a second home. Your family fixed so many of my size 11 1/2-12 narrow shoes over many years until they fell apart. Sending lots of love and will see you soon. Catherine Cowley
