Mildred L. Wainio

Mildred "Millie" Wainio, age 88, of Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday, March 25th. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred "Buddie" Wainio for over 45 years. Eldest child of Charles and Louise (Volta) Herries; she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Herries. She is survived by her sister, Arlene Paone and her husband, John, and her brother, Edward Herries and his wife, Cathie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mildred spent her entire working career as an employee of the Ellis Curtain Factory in North Plymouth, where she was never without her sharp scissors. Mildred was active well into her eighties wherein she prided herself in walking or taking public transportation wherever she needed to go, as she did not drive. She will be fondly remembered for her many stories. In recent years, Mildred's health declined wherein she recently entered a nursing home to live her last days.
A visitation will be held at the Cartmell Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (NORTH) Plymouth, on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 9:00 am till 11:00 am. Followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
