Mildred Irene Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2026, at the age of 96. She passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 28, 1929, to William Eric and Eula Mae (Murrah) Ballard.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 66 years, Lewis D. Williams; daughter, Linda G. Williams; son, Gary D. Williams, Sr.; sister, Violet Basham; brothers, Emmit L. Ballard and William Arlis Ballard; grandson, Daniel Wayne Boren; and sons-in-law, Harvey O. Schwarz and Jim Lane.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Sue Williams Schwarz and Mary A. Lane; her daughter-in-law, Jo Williams; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and dear friends.

Lovingly known as Mammaw, Mildred was a Godly woman with a strong faith. She continued to attend church until she was physically unable to do so. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding light to her family.

Mildred enjoyed many simple pleasures. She loved bowling and playing games, especially BINGO, Gin, and Dominoes. She found joy in fishing, camping, and traveling with friends. She also enjoyed watching Shark Tank, game shows, sports, and the weather. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mildred Williams will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellaire Baptist Church, 105 Clovis Place, San Antonio, Texas 78221.
