Mildred I. Wilverding

Mildred Seemon Wilverding, age 94, of Keene Valley, NY, passed away on January 5, 2026. Born in Westfield, New Jersey, Mildred spent her early years in Scotch Plains before settling in Piscataway, where she was a resident for 64 years. Later in life, she moved to Lewis, NY.
Throughout her career, Mildred worked at the Hanover Insurance Company, dedicating 15 years of service before her retirement in 1994. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima parish and actively participated in the Rosary Altar Society.
Mildred and her husband enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, embracing their love for warm climates and vacationing on many islands. She was also an enthusiastic baseball fan, with a special fondness for the New York Yankees.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert Wilverding, as well as her daughter Diane Young of Albrightsville, PA.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Susan Bernknopf of South Bound Brook, NJ, and Rosemary Joseph of Lewis, NY.
She also leaves behind three grandchildren-Jeffrey Aguilar, Melissa Young, and Brian Young-and four great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her viewing on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 3 to 7:00 PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, Dunellen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, 600 Harris Avenue, Middlesex, at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
