Mildred Young

Mildred "Millie" Irene Young, 72, of Clinton, Missouri died Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Millie was born February 26, 1953 to Delbert Leroy Spencer and Juanita Virginia (Barnum) Spencer in Clinton, MO. She was one of twelve children. On March 20, 1971, Millie married Thomas Burris, and to this union, three children were born. For many years Thomas remained a close friend to Millie and her family. Later in life, Millie married James Young, who preceded her in death.
Mildred loved bingo, reading, oil painting, painting her nails, and late night card games.
Preceding Millie in death were her parents; a brother Leland Spencer; and five sisters, Donna Harmon, Jeanie Boxley, Shirley Elliott, Lola Kay Wilson and Lois Petersen. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Smith (Paul), of Windsor, MO; two sons, Michael Burris (Theresa) of Independence, MO, and Matthew Burris of Clinton, MO; seven grandchildren, BoAnn, Clive, Madison, Ashlyn, Charlie, Tyler and Tess.
Other survivors include her four brothers; Delbert Spencer, Freddie Spencer, and Kenneth Spencer (Sherry) all of Clinton; and Frank Spencer (Tanya) of Crockett, Texas; a sister Rhoda Crawford of Clinton; a sister-in-law Barbara Spencer of Overland Park, Kansas; and a dear friend Robin Parker of Clinton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home.
