With heavy hearts and grateful spirits, we remember the life of Miles Davis, whose joy, laughter, and magic touched everyone who knew him.

Miles was the kind of kid who made life feel electric. He loved sports, especially baseball, basketball, and lacrosse, and gave it his all whether on the field, court, or in the stands cheering. He played in the band with pride, made magic tricks feel real, and could make anyone laugh with his perfectly timed jokes and goofy grin.

Even though he was quiet and didn’t say a lot, you always knew he was there. He had a way of simply showing up, sliding next to you just to talk or surprise you with one of his magic tricks. His presence was comforting, warm, and full of unspoken love.

He was a dreamer, unafraid to imagine big things, and bold enough to believe in them. Full of life, love, and light, he brought energy to every room, kindness to every person, and wonder to every day.

Miles is survived by his parents, Roderick Davis and Rackel Dauphin; stepdad, Jeremy Dauphin; brother, Isaiah Davis; stepsister, Haylynn Dauphin; grandparents, James and Rose Davis, and Rosa and Roberto Alvarez; aunts and uncles, Eric Davis and Renee Elston, Janel and Joe Moore, Cecilia Steward, Peter (Pete) Weilbaecher, Jr., and Leticia and Brandon Yancey; cousins, Arlo Anderson, Lyric and Sartavia Lawson, Gabby Moore, Andrew, Cameron and Daniel Steward, along with a host of extended family members, and a community of friends, teammates, and teachers who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah Davis, Eric Davis, Rodney Blue, DeVante Walls, Daniel Steward, Andrew Steward, Cameron Steward, and Braden Dauphin.

Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit and impact will be eternal. His light remains with us, in every laugh, every sunset, and every dream dared into being.
