Miles Sutherland Obituary
Miles was born on September 30, 2025, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Kendra Sutherland and Kain Samp. Miles was a joyful baby who loved to smile, giggle, intently stare at you, and watch racing and snowmobiling videos.
Surviving Miles are his parents, Kendra Sutherland and Kain Samp; maternal grandparents, Richard (Dana) Sutherland; paternal grandparents, Gy (Linda) Tucker; great-maternal grandparents, Tammy Sutherland, Bobet (Harold) Manshaem, and Dan (Laura) Cosgrove; great-paternal grandparents, Barbara (Michael) Butcher and Ann (Guy) Tucker; great-great-paternal grandmother, Elva Duncan; uncles, Jason Sutherland, Russel Sutherland III, Eric Sutherland, Aydin Samp, and Gage Wheeler; and aunt, Sophie Wheeler, and a bunch of other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Miles was preceded in death by his great-maternal grandfather, Russel "Pete" Sutherland; great-uncle, Jason Sutherland; cousin, John Matthews; great-great-maternal grandmothers, Elmerna Cosgrove and Bette Becsey; and great-great-paternal grandfather, Robert Duncan.
Funeral services for Miles Jay Sutherland will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
