Millard Campbell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ware Funeral Home on Jan. 19, 2026.
On January 18, 2026 at 10:13 a.m., the greatest man on earth gained his Angel Wings with his family by his side. He was the most dedicated husband, father and best friend you could ever have.

Millard "Bud" Campbell born August 17, 1944 to Bertha Campbell and John Day in a farm house in Clarksburg, Ohio, his mother passed when he was a young boy his Grandmother Jennie Campbell then raised him.

Bud Married Phyllis Martin on January 15, 1966. She was the love of his life, he cared for her and cherished her until she earned her Angel Wings in 2018.

Together, they had 4 children, Jennifer (Todd) Payne, Melody (Bruce) Steinbrook, Bryon Campbell and Buddy (Donna) Campbell, whom he loved very much and always said he had no favorites.

Bud's 10 grandchildren were the brightness in his life, he loved everyone of them, he cherished every moment with them, Joshua (Melissa) Yates, Zachary Yates, Christopher (Ashley) Houser, Bruce (Nicole) Steinbrook, Ryon (Meaghan) Campbell, Kaleb Campbell, Trevor Campbell, Cheyenne Payne, Jorja Campbell and Haydon Campbell. Bud had 12 great grandchildren, Keyley, Trinity, Zaine, Jaxon, Xavier, Hayley, Maverick, Bentlee, Emalynn, Ryston, Audrey and Madisen; and a great granddaughter, Charlie.

Bud owned Campbells Construction, there wasn't anything he couldn't do, move, or build. He loved to tinker in his garage or just sit in his rocking chair and listen to country music.

Bud joined the US Army in 1964. He was a scout and tanker, he served his duty assignment in Germany.

Bud was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626, FOE Arie 600 and the VFW Post 108. He loved dancing and getting together with his many friends.

Bud is survived by his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, grandmother and brother, Paul Graham.

Bud always tried to help in any way to anyone. He was a hard worker, worked before dawn and came home way after bedtime. Bud bestilled all his morales, talent, love, dedication, traits to his children and grandchildren. He would always try to get the last "I Love You" in, then it would become a challenge, the word "more" would come in.

Fly High Daddy. We still need you, so watch over us. We Love You More!!
