Millard Wilson Nicholson also known as "Blake" to his school mates and "Nick" to his work friends, esteemed resident of Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 79. Born on June 6, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Millard spent his life dedicated to his family, work, and varied interests.

Millard devoted many years of service as a firefighter, displaying courage and commitment to the safety and well-being of his community. His dedication extended beyond his professional life into his personal passions, which included spending time on the golf course, cycling through Michigan's scenic landscapes, and tending to what was proudly known as the "Best Lawn in Taylor." He also held a fondness for his weekly tradition of ordering chicken nuggets from McDonald's, a simple pleasure that brought him joy.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Millard and Mary Nicholson, and his beloved sister, Carol Duperron. Millard leaves behind cherished memories with his devoted wife, Janet Nicholson; his daughters, Tracey Nicholson (Tim Ferrell) and Vicki Mincey (John); and his beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Ferrell, Nicholas Ferrell, and Mackenzie Donnelly (Cristi Stanescu). A new chapter of joy is anticipated with the arrival of his great-grandchild, Senna.

Millard's unwavering love and dedication to his family, along with his friendly and genuine spirit, will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
