Memorial service for Milli Janell Watson, age 59, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Frederick, with Les Banks and Roger Fischer officiating.

Milli Janell Watson, the third of four Dixon children, was born September 19th, 1966, to Jim and Jane Dixon in Friona, Texas. She was raised on a farm and ranch 18 miles northwest of Friona in the community of Rhea. Milli graduated from Friona High School in 1985 and went on to receive a Bachelor's in Business Administration from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Milli then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she was the assistant manager at JCPenney, and met her husband, Doug Watson. They were married May 18th, 1991, in Friona, Texas, and celebrated 34 ½ years of marriage. Together, they farm and ranch outside of Frederick, Oklahoma. Born to this union were two beautiful daughters, her greatest accomplishments: Sage Gilmore in 1995 and Summer Chalifoux in 1998.

Milli attended Cameron University in 1994 to earn a Certification in Education. She taught fifth grade for 12 years, until her lifelong love for books led her back to higher education years later. She received her Master's of Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2005 and became the librarian for Frederick Public Schools. Milli worked in the Frederick school system for over 30 years as a teacher, librarian, and yearbook advisor.

Milli's home was filled with children, a loving husband, and more antiques and books than she knew what to do with. She liked taking her daily walks, always with a pack of dogs encircling her to ensure their safety- yes, their safety. She often spent her free time watching mystery shows or reading mystery novels, joining her local book club, riding in the tractor while Doug planted cotton and wheat, and shopping for antiques with her family. Milli had a soft spot for a good bed and breakfast and southern comfort food. She was loyal to the Hallmark Channel during the Christmas season, despite her family's loud and frequent complaints. She was the best at making holidays feel special, decorating the house head to toe.

Milli went to join the Lord on November 6th, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Doug Watson; her daughters, Sage Gilmore and Summer Chalifoux; her first grandchild, Ivy Gilmore; her mother, Jane Dixon; a brother-in-law, Tom Woosley; and two brothers.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Frederick School Enrichment Foundation, P.O. Box 486, Frederick, Oklahoma 73542, in loving memory of Milli Watson.
