February 4, 1934 - November 28, 2025

Milo J. Polacek, 91 yrs, of Fremont, NE, passed away, November 28, 2025, at Methodist Fremont Health.

Milo was born February 4, 1934, in Brainard, NE, to James and Mary (Voboril) Polacek. He married Rosalie Vanicek on April 11, 1959, in Agnew, NE. Milo was a lifelong farmer living in rural Colon, NE, until moving to Fremont in 2002. After retirement Milo worked at Bomgaars in Fremont.

Milo was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie of Fremont; daughters, RaNae (Mike) O'Brien of West Point, Kathleen (Jim) Kaufman of Newman Grove, NE, Teresa (Zane) Wondercheck of Newman Grove, and Marla (Mike) Murray of North Bend, NE; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Geraldine and Louise Polacek and Gerry Benes; and nieces and nephews.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Leonard Polacek; and sisters, Alice (Rudy) Rech, Mary (Clem) Waskowiak, Helen (Adolph) Pacula, Anna (Ermin) Holub, and Lillian (Frank) Belik; and infant sister, Mildred.

The funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary said at 7 p.m., Wednesday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a designation at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com.
