Milo C. Smith, 92, of Willimantic, CT, passed away Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on May 29, 1933, son of Leon and Katherine Smith.
Milo has been a devoted husband to Doris Legere Smith for 72 years. He is predeceased by his daughter, Joyce Smith Crepeau and multiple siblings whom he loved and cared for.
Milo leaves behind his son and daughter in law, Gary A. Smith and Tina ODannel, six grandchildren, Ryan, Broc and Nicholas Smith, Zachariah DeJesus, Colleen and Austin Crepeau. He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss him.
Milo had an unbreakable love of family, first and foremost. His work ethic was a great example for his family and all who knew him.
Milo loved to travel with his wife, Doris, in their RV and on multiple cruises enjoying the beauty of the country. He was the greatest fan and supporter of his sons’ motocross racing which brought him much joy. Spending time with all of his grandchildren, even for simple everyday activities was what he would refer to as “the best times” of his life.
Milo’s love and care of his wife have been his primary focus over the past few years. He spent every day possible at her side. The family would like to thank the staff at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehab, Mansfield, Ct. for their loving support of Milo while caring for Doris.
Per Milo’s request, services are planned at a later date.
