LAKE CITY - Milton Emmitt Penter, 66, of Lake City passed from this life Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Milton was born Aug. 7, 1955, to the late Lenard and Lola Mae Evans Penter in Elaine.
Milton served in the U.S. Marines and worked at farming. He enjoyed gardening and trying to win the lottery.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Weldon.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Owens of Bay and Nancy Justice of Cherokee Village; a brother, Rayburn Penter of Bay; three nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. today, March 1, at Emerson Funeral Home. No services will be held.
