Milton Rexroad Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Witty's Funeral Home on Dec. 18, 2025.
ROYALSTON- Milton A. Rexroad, or as friends and family knew him- Rex or Buddy, 83, of Royalston, MA passed away December 13, 2025 with his wife and sister at his side. We know he was welcomed home with open arms by his parents, Bub and Freida.

Rex was born in Gardner. He held a special place in his heart for South Royalston where he grew up.

He leaves his wife Karen and two step sons, Steven and his wife Rachel, and Michael. He leaves behind his sister Carole Newman, whom he shared a special bond with. Rex also leaves behind a step grandson, a nephew, niece, and many great nephews and great nieces.

Rex was passionate about his business- which spanned successfully and for many years. He operated the Hartford Gun Club in Granby, CT for several memorable years. After that, Rex opened a sporting goods store in Vermont. He then proceeded to open Mt. Video, three successful video stores.

He enjoyed working long after retirement. Rex particularly loved tap shooting, playing golf, and playing cards.

There will be no services, per Rex's request; however, his family would like to encourage anyone who knew and loved Rex to share a story, a memory, perhaps a joke, and take an extra second to think about him. Have breakfast with an old friend, forgive someone who might have hurt you in the past, hug someone close to you, and most importantly- tell someone you love how precious they are to you.

Donations in Rex's memory can be made to the Town of Athol, memo- NQ Animal Shelter/Milton Rexroad, c/o Athol Police Dept., 280 Exchange Street, Athol, MA 01331.

Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
