Milton Leon Stalling, 75, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Fort Worth. Born on July 12, 1950, in Mineral Wells to C.L. and Alice Stalling, Leon was the second of four children and the only son.
Leon lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, and a passion for drag racing. He became a well-known figure in the Texas racing community, particularly at Green Valley Raceway, Texas Raceway, and the Texas Motorplex. His love of the sport extended to the next generation as he proudly introduced his son and niece to Junior Dragsters, nurturing their enthusiasm for racing.
In his earlier years, Leon also found joy in hunting and fishing, embracing the outdoors with the same energy he brought to the track. He was a proud member of the Mineral Wells Gun and Archery Club, where he shared his enthusiasm for marksmanship and the sporting life with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
Professionally, Leon enjoyed a long and successful career at Antenna Products. Starting as a draftsman, he worked his way up to shop foreman, a position he held with pride until his retirement. He was a man of faith and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, where he was known for his kind spirit.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, C.L. and Alice Stalling; and his sister and brother-in-law, Anna and David Owens.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Stalling, and daughter-in-law, Heather; his grandson, Reef; his sisters, Nancy Krause and husband David, and Barbara Hummel and husband Chris; two nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
Leon’s legacy of love, determination, and community spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
