Richard Joseph "Rick" Wadle, who lived a life full of adventure, service, and love, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Memorial service: 10:00 AM, Friday October 31, 2025 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 9883 Marbach Rd., San Antonio, TX, 78245.
Inurnment: 1:30 PM, Friday, October 31, 2025 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Celebration of Life: 3:00 - 7:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Northern Hills Golf Course, 13202 Scarsdale St., San Antonio, TX 78217.
Rick was born June 25, 1938, in Lacona, lowa. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force for over 22 years, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. In 1978, he opened Dive World Scuba Center, where he built a community of divers and friends who loved him dearly.
Rick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished family above all. He will be remembered as a veteran, mentor, and friend whose adventurous spirit touched countless lives.
Survivors: Wife, Debbie; children, Rod, Cathy, Ashley, Shelby, and Julian; and his grandchildren.
