Milton B. "Mike" Youngs

BOONVILLE - Milton B. a/k/a "Mike" Youngs, a former longtime resident of West Road, passed away while surrounded by the loving care of his family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville.

Mike was born in Martinsburg on October 10, 1929, a son of William H. and Alice Young Youngs. Mike's first marriage ended in divorce.

He was first employed at Buckley Chair Co., Boonville, continuing to work there for Ed Germanski until the chair company was destroyed in a fire. Mike was employed as an oil truck driver for Stanley Ohm Oil Co., Boonville, for many years, before his last employment as a truck driver for Mohawk Valley Oil Co,. Boonville.

On August 19, 1984, he was married to Adeline Yost Stinebrickner in Boonville. The couple lived on the West Road, Town of Leyden, where they lived for many years. Mrs. Youngs passed away on February 25, 2020.

For many years Mike and Adeline greatly enjoyed attending garage sales and auctions. He also possessed a lifelong interest in elephants and collecting elephants. He had a great affection for German Sheppard dogs.

Mike is survived by a stepdaughter, Bertha (Timothy) Munn, Boonville; a stepson, Arthur (Jean) Stinebrickner, all of Boonville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Luke, and one brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Marge) Youngs, Boonville. Mike was predeceased by a daughter, Valerie Youngs, in 2020, four sisters, Matilda, Isabelle, Pearl and Esther, and by one brother, George.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, where a calling hour will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls.
