Mina Mae (Davis) Sifrit, age 94, of Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River, Kansas, died on January 21, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bob Sifrit, also of Sandstone Heights, son Robin (Kathy), son Lynn (Kathy), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. Mina was preceded in death by parents, her brother Vinton Davis (Orpha), and sister Lorraine (John) Davis, as well as Bob’s sisters and spouses Waunita (Floyd) Stebbeds and Jerry (Leland) Burkett.
Mina was born on May 2, 1930, to Roy V. and Bertha M. (Hoffer) Davis, on a farm near Clemons, Iowa. She was a good student and active in 4–H. She earned a teaching certificate and later a teaching degree. Mina and Bob were married on July 4th. Mina made her marriage and being a parent priorities and was active in the churches that Bob pastored in Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, and Illinois. Her faith was her anchor point. Mina enjoyed singing, often joining the church choirs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Little River Congregational Church, officiated by Pastor Ted Weis.
