Minerva Hightower

Minerva Alegria Hightower, 73, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Minerva was born on February 14, 1952, in Ajo, Arizona, to Juan and Soila Alegria. She was one of five children and grew up rooted in family, faith, and community. In 1976, she married James (Jamie) Hightower, the love of her life, and together they shared 37 devoted years of marriage. They were blessed with one son, Jason, who remained the center of Minerva's world.

Minerva is survived by her son Jason; daughter-in-law Cami; her cherished grandchildren Jordan, Kamdan (Madison), and Tristany (Grayson); and her great-grandson Jaylen. She is also survived by her sisters Frances (Noah), Lupe (Marvin), and Carol (John); her brother Juan (Julia); and many other relatives and loved ones who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Hightower; her parents, Juan and Soila Alegria; and her sister Marta.

Minerva will be remembered for her selflessness, humor, kindness, loyalty, and-above all-her boundless love. Family meant everything to her, and she gave her heart freely to those around her. To know Minerva was truly to love her.

Minerva's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She now rests in the loving arms of our Lord, reunited with her husband, her parents, and her sister who have gone before her. May she find eternal peace, and may her family find comfort in the promise of everlasting life.

A memorial service will be held on March 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. for Rosary and 10:00 AM for Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ajo, Arizona. A reception will follow immediately
