Ms. Minetta Harden Lusane

LUSANE, Ms. Minetta (Harden) - Age 65, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with Memorial service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Alphonso Brown, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Thursday. There will be no public viewing.
Minetta Rhea Harden, affectionally known as "Net", "Netti", "Netta" was born on October 1st, 1956. On September 19, 2022 she gained her wings by transitioning peacefully in her sleep after battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Minetta was the oldest of 4 daughters from the union of Henry and Minnie Harden. She remained a resident of the Flint, Michigan area her entire life settling in Grand Blanc, MI. Minetta graduated from Northwestern High School, "Class of 1974" and attended undergraduate classes at Eastern Michigan University as an Art Major. Her love of art and creativity was manifested through her fashion, style, and keen sense of interior design. She spread her gift to enhance the living spaces of many family and friends.
Minetta worked at Chevrolet V-8 Engine Plant, a division of General Motors Corporation until an early retirement. She felt a strong connection to her African roots and cherished her trip to Senegal as one of the highlights of her life. Her personal fashion choices and household accents always included a touch of animal print, with leopard being her favorite, and she rocked it like no other.
Minetta accepted Christ at an early age, attending the family church of St. James CME, and remained spiritual in her life journey until her transition. Minetta's love life was a story within itself, as she loved hard, and was often referred to as Elizabeth Taylor. Enough said! She never met a stranger, and would start a conversation with anyone. She was genuinely concerned about the happiness and welfare of others. She gave generously to several causes and was the "emergency person" of the family who made herself available in times of need.
Minetta was very loyal and supportive. Her children adored her, and her sisters admired her for her caring spirit. She took on the responsibility of caretaker for her Mother until her physical inability to do so.
Minetta's love for Facebook, allowed her to expand her outreach. She enjoyed keeping up with people's lives, and gained more friends and lasting relationships over the years.
Minetta Rhea Harden leaves to cherish sweet memories: mother Minnie; son, Damien Fountain of Grand Blanc, MI; daughter, Najah Walker of Grand Blanc, MI; grandson, Damien Fountain Jr.; sisters, Sheena (Johnny) Manuel of Flint, Sherri (Tyrone) Jordan of Clarkston, MI and Tonja Harden of Farmington Hills, MI; niece, Tiara Jordan; great-nieces, Lola Jordan, and Zoey Jordan; nephews, Johnny Manuel Jr, Jewan Manuel, Tyrone Jordan II, and Andre Rison Jr.; special uncle, Tommie Harden; cherished friend; Beverly Powell; a host of other extended family and friends survive.
Minetta was preceded in death by her father, Henry Harden.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chugh, and the wonderful staff of UofM Ann Arbor Taubman Center, Ascension Genesys, and All American Home Health and Hospice Care.
