Minnie Howard Obituary
Pembroke- Minnie Lee Strickland Howard, age 72, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Howard was born in Savannah, GA to the late John Perry Strickland and Ruby Mae Varner Strickland. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and had a kind, giving spirit. She was a caregiver to her blind husband and her special needs daughter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her two husbands, Mr. Raymond Hubert Blitch and James Irvin Howard; two brothers, Junior Dolphus Strickland and William Henry Strickland and one sister, Margaret Lee Strickland Vincent.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice Lorie and Scott Schloe of Hampton, SC and Elizabeth M. Blitch of Hampton, SC and one grandson, Tanner Hughes of Guyton.
Visitation will be held 10 -11 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2025 at the funeral home
The funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2025 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Strickland officiating.
Interment will follow at Northside Cemetery.
