Minnie Melvin Obituary
Minnie Lee Melvin, 90 of Severna Park passed away on March 5, 2023. Minnie was born on June 28, 1932 in Durham, North Carolina to the late Raymond and Ester Harris. She enjoyed teaching children as a Montessori School teacher for many years. She was very involved with her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting activities and loved to watch their games and keep track of all the team's stats. Minnie enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles, The Voice and DWTS. She liked bowling, eating vanilla ice cream cones, enjoyed going to the beach and staying in touch with her family via social media. She loved to go through family photos on her iPad.
Minnie is survived by her children, Gwen Blank (Glenn), Bill Melvin (Toni), Lynda Melvin and Sandy Bost (Jerry); her grandchildren, Tara Harris, Josh Zimmerman, Krista Nasr, Sammy Godfrey and Kasey Bost; her great-grandchildren, Sean Martin, Ashley Zimmerman, Makenna Nasr, Dylan Zimmerman, Alexa Nasr and Liam Godfrey; and her sister, Carolyn Hall. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Robert Carr; and her siblings, Linwood Harris, Peggy Hall, James Harris, Myrtle Weaver and Patricia Sharpe.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4-7 pm.
