so very sorry to hear about Mimi's passing. I have always been so proud when she would call me her namesake. She lived with my parents, Herb and Margaret for a while in Mt. Holly and then when we moved back to NC she was such a huge help to me. I had full intentions of visiting her in the New Year - once again i shouldn't procrastinate. May she rest in eternal peace.

SPo very sorry to hear of the passing of Mimi. I grew up with her in the Graham St/ Mint St. area of Charlotte. Her father ,Robert, and my grandmother, Lizzie Gadd Turner, were brother & sister, which made her my mother "Sis" 1st cousin. She spent a lot of time at her Aunt Lizzie's house, where we were living. We went to a lot of her softball games. She put her heart & soul into every game. There were many times when we thought for sure she was badly injured, but she would get up and continue to playball. My brother, J.B. went to Harding High School with her. She always called J.B. "Jay Bird". Lots of good memories! Peggy Spurrier Anderson
