Misty A. Goad

Misty Ann (Stearns) Goad, 51, of New Castle, made her Heavenly journey on Tuesday, January 21, 205. She was born October 26, 1973, in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Jesse Arnold Starnes and Janet Marie (West) Ford.
Misty was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, worked at Raintree programs and was later a homemaker and nanny for her grandsons. She enjoyed watching Pastor Paul Begley, taking road trips, crocheting and playing bingo. Most importantly Misty took great pride in her grandbabies Cael and Rowan Guffey and spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish her loving memory is the love of her life Billy Goad, whom she married April 21, 1995, daughter Kailei (Jeff Guffey) Goad of New Castle, grandsons Cael and Rowan Guffey; sisters: Jessica Stearns Brown of New Castle and Shonda Stanley of Winchester; niece London and nephew August both of Winchester; special aunt Becky Bilbrey as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, listed above, brother Jeremey Ford, stepfather George "Toad" Ford, paternal grandparents Floyd Starnes and Irene Parragin and maternal grandparents Lester West and Loretta McClendon
A funeral to celebrate Misty's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Rose City Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral at Batson Cemetery, New Castle.
