It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mitch Wayne Russell, age 30, of Kansas City, Missouri, on September 4, 2025.
Mitch was a devoted partner, father, son, brother, and friend. He shared eight wonderful years with his fiancé/life partner, Destanie Valdepena, together building a loving home and raising their four beautiful children: Wayne, Alejo, Selena, and Nayeli.
Mitch will be remembered for his sense of humor, loyalty, generosity, and love for family adventures. He loved spending time with his children—whether cheering them on at activities, taking them outdoors, watching movies together, or simply being present for the little moments. His family was his world, and his memory will live on through them.
He is survived by his partner, Destanie Valdepena; his children, Wayne Russell, Alejo Russell, Selena Russell, and Nayeli Russell; his sister, Corrina Russell; and his brother, Colton Russell. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
