Mitchell Andrew Clemons, born in Orlando, FL on June 24, 1964, was taken from us, tragically and suddenly, in Houston, TX on the morning of Aug. 19, 2025. Descended from the Douglass clan, Mitchell is survived by his mother, JoAnn Clemons, his sisters, Melissa Bach, Parley Clemons, Raine Cromer, his brother, Marc Clemons, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Wednesday, and his beautiful daughter, Kallisti, of whom he was most proud.

Mitchell lived a life true to himself, those he loved, and what he loved. He was a dedicated family man, a Godly man, and lived his life accordingly. He was a large part of many circles in Houston, as he spent the majority of his life in the 'Emerald City'. Mitchell and his talents will be sorely missed within the ArtCar community, the Patriot Guard Riders, and Houston's parades.

Mitchell was an incredibly talented and skilled carpenter and builder of all things. His hand-built structures can be seen all over Houston. His creations can be viewed in Houston's Thanksgiving Day Parade, MLK parade, Fourth of July celebration, Bayou City Arts Festival, Earth Day festival, and Pride parade.

Mitchell was a participant in the Orange Show's ArtCar Parade since its beginnings. The parade brought him true joy. He created many mobile works of art through the years. His personal work vehicle, an ArtCar, was frequently seen tooling around Houston's streets as he went from jobsite to home.

Recently, Mitchell had been riding with the Patriot Guard Riders, a cause in which he took great pride. He believed deeply in honoring those who stood for us and would often recount his PGR missions to his wife with tears in his eyes.

Mitchell is most deeply and terribly missed by his family and close circle of friends. He leaves a hole that can never be filled. He was stoic but always quick to laugh. He was a gentle giant who loved small critters, both human and animal. If Mitchell loved you, he loved you and you knew it. If he didn't, well you knew that too. Exceptionally smart, he could converse with ease on almost any subject and his story telling abilities were legendary. He was a son, a brother, a father, a protector, a friend, a husband, our rock, and a man of true virtues: valor, wisdom, prudence, and love. He will be loved, always.

Rest easy, Mitchell Clemons. Your work here is done.
