Mitchell Harris

Mitchell Harris, a cherished member of the community, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Yazoo Health and Rehab. He was born on November 19, 1959, in Mississippi, where he spent his early years and developed a fondness for the local culture and people.

Mitchell proudly served his country in the Army, demonstrating a commitment to duty and service that he carried with him throughout his life. His military experience shaped not only his character but also his sense of camaraderie and loyalty to those around him.

Educated with a GED, Mitchell valued the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. His life was marked by an unwavering dedication to personal growth, and he encouraged others to seek their own paths of learning and discovery.

He is survived by his beloved brother, Edward Harris, who will carry forward the rich memories of their shared experiences, laughter, and the bond of brotherhood.

A viewing in memory of Mitchell Harris will be held on September 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Shaffer - Collins Funeral Home, located at 247 West 6th St, Yazoo City, MS, 39194.
