Mitchell Christopher Howard, 20, of Atwood, KS, died Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born on August 29, 2003, in Benkelman, NE, to Christopher and Dana (Sabatka) Howard. He grew up in Bird City, KS and was a 2022 graduate of Cheylin High School. He worked at SurePoint Ag Systems in Atwood. Mitchell enjoyed driving go karts, working on cars and listening to music, loudly. You could always hear his car coming. He also loved to fish and proudly caught a 29 lb catfish in Atwood Lake. Mitchell had a loud personality and loved to make people laugh. One of his favorite things to do was mess with his little sister Kyla.
He was preceded in death by his cousins, Gage and Devon Mick.
He is survived by his parents; sister Kyla; grandparents, Dennis and Lila Howard and Brian and Connie Sabatka; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Wesleyan Church, Bird City, KS, with burial in the McDonald Grace Cemetery, McDonald, KS. Memorials may be made to the Mitchell Howard Memorial Fund and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701. For information or condolences visit baalmannmortuary.com

Mitchell you will be so missed. I will miss your big smile, your big hugs I got whenever and wherever I happen to run into you. Your big personality will always remain in my heart. You were a kind soul and we just adored you so much. You always made us laugh and that I will miss. Rest in peace sweet boy. Our love and prayers are with your family.
