Mitchell Wayde Oldham, 28, of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on March 24, 2025.
Mitchell was born prematurely on May 7, 1996, in Athens, Georgia, to the late Douglas Oldham and Kimberly Dawn Oldham. From the very beginning, Mitchell was a fighter—a bright light who entered the world too early and left it far too soon.
A graduate of North Oconee High School, Class of 2015, Mitchell spent much of his life working side by side with his father at Oldham’s Wrecker Service. Their bond was unbreakable, and their time together shaped the man Mitchell became.
He had a heart that felt everything deeply and a soul that loved fiercely. Mitchell found joy in simple things—video games, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and time spent with family. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a proud uncle to Burke and Sonja Jane Ziemer. To know him was to love him, and he leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Oldham; grandparents, Hazel and Floyd Oldham; and grandfather, Gary Hardeman.
He is survived by his loving mother, Kimberly Dawn Oldham; sisters, Stephanie Palmer and Katelynn Oldham; nephew and niece, Burke and Sonja Jane Ziemer; grandmother, Donna Aaron Whitt; and aunt, Deborah Oldham.
A memorial service to celebrate Mitchell’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, visitation will begin at 1 p.m and services will begin at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens West, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677. Following the service, family and friends are invited together and remember Mitchell at 240 E Springs Street, Crawford, Georgia.
Mitchell’s presence in our lives was a gift—and though he is no longer with us, his love and light will live on in all who knew him.
