Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bennettsville AME Zion Church. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill AME Zion Church Cemetery, Ansonville, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 prior to the service. Family and friends are welcome at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood from 2:00PM until 5:00PM, Wednesday May 31, 2023.
Mitchell was born September 22, 1950 in Stanly County to the late Fletcher and Dorothy Louise Threadgill Wall. He was a retiree of the NC Department of Transportation and also Wall's Concrete. He accepted Christ in his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie Wall, Brian Nicholson, Michael Wall, his twin brother and wife, Mary; sister, Tasha Nicholson; daughter, Ruby Michelle Huntley
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Deloise Huntley Wall of the home; children, Deborah Kirby(Ryan), LaTonya Wall White(Antonio), Mitchell Threadgill, Keshia Watkins, Marvin Brown, Motariuse Wall and Marquitta Wall; special granddaughter, Raniah Kirby; grandchildren, Zariana and Zariel Threadgill, Milan Williams and Xavian Lopez;brothers and sisters, Angeline Wall, Angela Wall(Bill), Dallas Wall (Donna), David Wall(Tracy), Lyvonne Griffin(Glenn) and Dwight Wall; sister in laws, Bernett Cox(Willie) and Jackie Duncan; brother in laws, Jesse Huntley(Ruby) and Kenneth Huntley; 31 nieces and eight nephews; cousins and a host of relatives and friends; special friends, Sonny Dunlap, Eddie Ballard, Russell Polk, William Barnett, Chris DeBerry, Scotty Dunlap, Allen Long, Walter Lee, Ram Griffin, Randy Harkey, Billy Wall, Creola Clark, Willie Cox, Bill Clark,Kerry Wall, and Goonie Carelock.
