Mr. Morris Brunson

Morris Blen Dell Brunson, son of the late Rufus and Netter Johnson Brunson was born February 26, 1941 in the St. Paul community of Summerton, SC and was educated in the Clarendon County Public School system.At an early age, Morris left South Carolina and moved to Brooklyn, New York. During this time, he met and married the love of his life, the late Barbara Black Brunson. This union was blessed with one son. He was employed with the New York Presbyterian Hospital where he worked for 45 years, retiring in 2011 due to declining health.On Monday, October 30, 2017, God saw fit to call Morris from labor to reward.Those left to cherish fond memories of Morris are: three sons -Christopher Green of Hartford, CT, Kendrick David of Charlotte, NC and Terrance (Albertha) Brunson of Denmark, SC; two granddaughters – Jamilah Brunson of Atlanta, GA and Brandii Brunson of Denmark, SC; three sisters - Lydia (Sammie) Ravenell of Holly Hill, SC, Eva Brunson and Netta R. Foy of Miami, FL; brother & caretaker - Robert Brunson of Brooklyn, NY; brothers - Ernest S. Brunson and Ronald (Roberta) Brunson of Summerton,SC; four sisters-in-law – Wilhelmena Grayson and Shirley Black of Brooklyn, NY, Elizabeth Capers of Ehrhardt, SC and Linda Black of Bamberg, SC; two brothers-in-law – Stanley Black and Frankie Black of Brooklyn, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Friends may call at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Lydia Ravenell, at 212 Dalehurst Drive, Holly Hill, South Carolina and at the funeral home.
