Mitzi Kicklighter Gibson, 68, passed away on December 25, 2024, at the Medical College of Georgia. She was born on September 3, 1956, in Glennville, Georgia, to Ceburn and Joyce Teston Kicklighter and lived here all of her life.
Mitzi dedicated her life to nurturing and inspiring the minds of countless students throughout her career with the Tattnall County School Systems as an educator.
Mitzi was not only an esteemed educator but also an avid traveler who cherished exploring new places. Her passion for travel was surpassed only by her unwavering love for her family. She found joy in spending time with loved ones, creating memories that will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mitzi is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lane Kicklighter.

Sons, Lee Gibson (Chelsea) of Richmond Hill, Georgia
Jonathan Gibson of Glennville, Georgia
Brothers, Dennis Kicklighter (Mary) of Warner Robins, Georgia
Brett Kicklighter of Pooler, Georgia
Grandchildren, Layla and Madelyn Gibson
Niece, Katey Kicklighter
Nephews, Kyle Kicklighter and Shaun Kicklighter
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
