Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband of 46 years, Preston Williams (2022); one sister, Melinda Thurman and one brother, Dennis Grubbs.
Her memory will live on in the lives of her two sons, Chris Williams and Trey Williams, both of Crossett, AR; Nikky Verrett and family, who was like a daughter to her; two brothers, Butch Thurman and family of South Mississippi and Gary Grubbs of Hot Springs, AR; two grandchildren, Drake and Hadlee along with her canine babies and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be in the Jones Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM. Graveside services will be in Lacey Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home on Monday, November 3rd beginning at 10:00AM with Bro. Clayton Nichols officiating. Pallbearers are Drake Williams, Austin Landrey, Blaze Harrison, Kip Carter, Garrett Thurman, and Brannon Thurman.

I will always remember Mitzi! She was dynamite in a small package! She sugar coated Nothing!! And would go to war over her family. She would always have me laughing over something . She will be missed. My prayers go out to the rest of the family.

I remember Mitzi as being a loving soul and family member. She was quick to speak her mind ( which is part of the Thurman trait) but at the same time she had a heart of gold. I always looked up to her as my older cousin and as the older adult who loved her husband and family.
