Mohan Ram Bissoondat Prashad passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 3, 1960, in Guyana, South America, Mohan was a devoted husband to Savita Prashad and a loving father to Ashton and Ashlana Prashad.
Mohan was a hardworking and dedicated individual. At the age of 18, he immigrated to USA, where he worked tirelessly to build a fulfilling life for himself and his family. His career spanned multiple fields, reflecting his passion, adaptability and drive. He lived in multiple cities across the United States, including San Diego, California; Chicago, Illinois; and his cherished homes in Worcester, West Boylston, and Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
A multifaceted professional, Mohan began his career in computer technology and later transitioned successfully into the entertainment and business industries. His charisma, kindness, generosity, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Full of life, with a big heart and a love for humor, Mohan brought joy and laughter to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, children, mother, Shirley Prashad; sisters, Liloutie Tobarran and Tara Fortin; brothers Sid, Hardatt, Raja, and Seedat Prashad; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bissoondat Prashad; his brother Haridat Prashad; his father-in-law, Sham Deoraj; and beloved aunts and uncles.
Mohan’s legacy is one of love, warmth, and an enduring impact on the lives of his family and friends, which will never be forgotten. Please join us as we remember and celebrate his superfantastic life.
The following services will be held at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605: Viewing: Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Funeral: Friday, June 6, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Cremation will occur after the funeral service on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rural Cemetery and Crematory, 180 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
