Moira Sheehan Obituary
Born in Lambeth, England, she graduated from Pitman College, London. She moved to the United States in 1963 and worked in administration for the Jewish Braille Institute of America, Coudert Brothers, Lane and Mittendorf, Rogers and Wells, Townley and Updike and Metro-North Railroad. Moira worked in many departments over the past 25 years in Metro-North, but her last department was Procurement and Materials Management, from which she retired in August 2024.
She loved traveling, horseback riding and won several riding awards, loved reading, going to the NY Public Library, and was fluent in French.
She is pre-deceased by her brother Gerald Sheehan, Sister Marie, and Sister Pauline. She is survived by her brother-in-law Ken, Sister-in-law Jackie Sheehan, nieces and nephews Ian Abbott, Catherine Taylor, Sarah and Paul Sheehan, and grand-niece Rebecca Taylor.
She had a long, well-lived life and is now reunited in heaven with her family. Rest in peace Moira.
